Threading is an ancient temporary method of hair removal that is believed to have originated in the Middle East and South Asia then more recently spread to the Western world. Originally this technique was used to remove the hair from women for special occasions. This technique is becoming increasingly popular in the Western world as it is 100% natural and has less adverse effects compared to other hair removal methods. Threading is mainly used to enhance the eyebrows or remove excess hair from most facial and body areas except for the underarms and bikini line. This technique involves the use of cotton or synthetic thread being twisted and a back and forth movement made to create a trap and rolled along the skin removing the hair directly from the root. This technique can remove a row of hairs as well as individual hairs.
COURSE CONTENTS
Hair growth cycle, classification of hair, salon hygiene, waste legislations, contra-indications, contra-actions, products required for treatment, consultation and aftercare.

The 1⁄2 day training consists of both theory and practical elements. After attending the initial training, you will be issued with a certificate of attendance accredited by ABT which will enable you to obtain the insurance required to offer your new skill to clients.
