Why a Lift Lasts Around Eight Weeks

The reason comes down to the lash growth cycle. A lash lift reshapes the lashes you have at the time of the treatment, but those lashes are at different stages of their own life cycle, and the eye is always growing new ones underneath. As the lifted lashes reach the end of their cycle and shed, new, un-lifted lashes grow in straight to replace them — so the lift fades as the set turns over rather than disappearing in one go.

Because the lashes shed and regrow at different times, the lift softens in stages: the curl looks strongest in the first few weeks, then gently relaxes as new straight lashes come through among the lifted ones. By around eight weeks enough of the set has turned over that the lift has mostly grown out — but there is rarely a hard line where it ends. When to Re-book

Because the lift grows out with the lash cycle, the right time to repeat it is when enough lashes have turned over — generally around eight weeks.
